SleepObrace™ KIDS is made out of non-toxic and flexible materials. It creates strong and evenly spread-out pressure throughout the jaw. This pressure results in aligned teeth, closed gaps, better facial aesthetics, and improved dental arch. It also stimulates nasal breathing by closing the mouth, helps children learn to properly position their tongue at the roof of their mouth, and corrects orthotropic habits.

SleepObrace KIDS comes in 2 sizes;

M (age: 6-10)

L (age: 10-14)

These are the average age groups recommended for each size. It's recommended to buy both sizes and check with a dental professional about which one is the best fit. If the smaller size is a good fit, there is a very high chance that the child will need the bigger size in the future, due to growth!

The used material has the characteristic to fit most jaws without abnormal displacements.

The correction process is divided into 2 stages:

• 1st stage (D1 - soft). Worn for 4 – 8 months.

Mainly used to adapt to the appliance and initial teeth & oral habits correction.

• 2nd stage (D2 - hard). Worn for 4 – 8 months.

Increased correction force is used for further correction and maintenance.

When finishing the 1st stage, it’s usually recommended to gradually use D2 together with D1. Use D2 in the daytime and D1 at night until completely switching to D2.

It may be necessary to change to a different appliance size during these stages because of the child’s growth.

Usually, there are noticeable improvements in 4 – 6 months.

• Correct tongue posture: The tongue should rest against the roof of the mouth.

• Conscious nasal breathing: Breathing through the nose, rather than the mouth, can help the muscles and bones of the face and jaw develop properly.
